more on Luke...
Luke grew up at Riverton but was a regular at Black Rock, helping out in his family’s sheep business.
It’s fair to say Luke’s whole life has revolved around sport and performance.
He played SANFL football for Sturt and North Adelaide, Division 1 cricket in the Barossa, Light and Gawler competition, as well as A grade tennis, basketball and golf along the way. He also loves his surfing when he gets the chance.
Luke credits his years playing football alongside professional coaches, trainers and players with providing a deep understanding of what to do – and not to do – to get the most out of our bodies.
He has grounded this real-world experience with professional health and fitness qualifications and industry roles, including two years as gym manager at Fitness First Adelaide City and Marion, followed by two years in the role of manager at Goodlife Health Club Payneham.
In 2014, Luke followed the call back to the land and spent the next seven years working in local farming businesses around Jamestown. While he enjoyed this time, he couldn’t resist his passion for fitness.
He took on the coaching role for the Jamestown Peterborough A grade football team in 2019 – despite a challenging year, Luke found it very rewarding and believed he got the most out of his players.
